The AGERA network consists of 37 of the most prestigious higher education establishments in the Rhone Alp region of France. The group has nearly 25 000 students and each year graduates 3500 engineers, 1000 students of management and business and 200 architects. With such resources AGERA makes a major contribution to research as well as socio-economic development on a regional, national and international level.
Articulated around education, research and innovation, this alliance aims to reinforce synergies and the actions of mutualisation between its members. This can be seen in particular with regard to its policy on equal opportunities, the diversification of the studies (long life learning, company sponsored training etc) and internationalisation. Indeed, AGERA is also instrumental in organising many international events and conferences for French and exchange students.
Our goal is to share best practices, innovate, organise events of strategic thought, and to encourage social diversity and cross cultural understanding. AGERA is a privileged partner of the Regional Council of the Rhone-Alps Region and operates in strong cooperation with the “Conference des Grandes Ecoles”.
AGERA therefore has a major role to play in the reforming landscape of higher education (Pole
s of competitiveness, Clusters, etc.) It achieves this through discussion, cooperation and developing the strengths of its members. We believe that this will give us the foundation for substantial development in the years to come.
